Have you ever been on a  call that you want to get out of, but you just can't find your way out of the conversation? The rescue call has been interrupted! On the iPhone, you can fake a bad service dropped call by literally forcing the call to drop from the cellular or network connection. In other words, the dropped call is real, but the reason it started isn't bad cell service or a network problem. If you need to record a conversation, it is most convenient to use https://apps.apple.com/us/app/call-recorder-for-iphone/id1503665233. Great, huh?

Force interrupt or call failure is achieved through the strategic use of Airplane Mode, which cuts off all communications, Wi-Fi, cellular, Bluetooth, etc. on the iPhone until it is enabled.

Fake a dropped call on iPhone using Control Center

The trick here is to activate airplane mode during the call you want to drop. This causes the iPhone to interrupt and simulate a dropped call or "call failed". :

 1) If you have a call in progress that you want to end, open the control center by swiping from the top right corner of the screen.

 2) Tap  the airplane icon to activate airplane mode

 3) To enable airplane mode to hang up the iPhone  and put the phone in a state where it cannot make or receive calls

 4) Turn off airplane mode again to connect iPhone to the mobile phone and Wi-Fi. - Fi. Fi Networks

You can also enable Airplane Mode in the Settings app if it's easier for you:

1) Open the Settings app on your iPhone

2) Turn the Airplane Mode switch ON if it is on. call to end it

3) Turn airplane mode to  OFF  to reconnect the phone to cellular and Wi-Fi networks (it will NOT automatically reconnect the dropped call)

No matter how you activate airplane mode, the results are the same; all active calls are disconnected.

Either you  let the call hang up and don't talk to the person again, or you call the person back and say, "Oh, sorry, let's hang up, let's talk another time" or any other excuse you can think of, it's to you

Airplane mode cuts off all cellular and network connections on an iPhone and is called airplane mode because airplanes on most airlines turn off their electronics when preparing for takeoff and landing. It also has the side effect of clearing the DNS cache on the iPhone, which can be especially useful for web developers and system administrators.
