Old and classic games have a new home at retro games. The Nintendo Entertainment System, Super Nintendo, Nintendo 64, Game Boy, Game Gear, Sega Master System, Sega Mega Drive (Genesis), NEC, Atari 7800, Atari Lynx, and Atari Jaguar all make appearances in this collection of ultra-classic games from the 1980s and '90s.

The goal of this site is to archive video games originally released for consoles and platforms that are no longer being developed for or supported by their creators. When you own one or two of these systems and play retro games, it's like going back in time. It's great to look back on happy times with loved ones. Right this second, on your browser, for nothing, you can reverse the past!

Do you long for the days of 8-bit music, pulsating screens, and arcade thrills? Those times when you and your friends would skip school to hang out in front of an early home computer or video game console and have a wonderful time. Perhaps you're just curious about the history of video games. New games with a throwback aesthetic are fun for everyone, but if you really want to satisfy your need for nostalgia, you should stick to the classics.
Like classical music, blocky, pixelated bitmap (or 'raster') images are something that neither you nor anybody else will ever forget. It fits neatly into the mold of these older video game styles.

The first games were regarded successful because of the traditional abstract lines. The popular computer game Snake is a throwback to an earlier era in which players controlled a snake that slithered around the screen and ate various objects to gain length.
