According to Volaris Airlines, children between the ages of five and fourteen are considered unaccompanied minors and must be escorted through the airport by Volaris staff. They also receive special services in accordance with the Volaris Unaccompanied Minor policy. If the child is under the age of four (4), a grownup traveller who is at least eighteen (18) years old must accompany them. Depending on the child's age and the destination, there are many material standards and constraints. The age of the child will be determined based on their chronological age at the time of travel, not necessarily at the time of booking. Regardless if the unaccompanied child is part of the same booking with the other children travelling as part of the group, fees are applicable to flights lasting up to 24 hours per child. Minors who are 15 years or older can fly on codeshare flights, but no escort services are provided. Volaris Unaccompanied Minor Policy will carry your child with no parent or caregiver as soon as he/she turns 5.
